Is the villa self catering?
Partly. Daily breakfast is included in the package rental . You will find a fully equipped kitchen in the resort an in house chef is available from MYR 20 per person (24 hours notice required). We can also purchase food and beverages and even supply meals and stock the resorts ready for your arrival.

Is tap water safe to drink?
The tap water is good for everything except drinking. Panorama Paradise provides bottled drinking water for your consumption.

Is the maid service included in the villa rental price?
Our rental price includes a full maid service, which includes daily bed making, cleaning and turn down service.

Is the laundry maid service included in the villa rental price?
No, but we can provide an out source laundry service for a fee.

Is the villa equipped with air-conditioning?
No, There is no air conditioning in the bedrooms. As an eco-friendly villa the property has been designed for maximum air flow, all rooms have wall fans and a natural breeze.

Is Wi-Fi available?
No. Due to the resort’s remote location broadband is not yet available.  however, there are a few restaurants/cafes that have limited WiFi. There are also numerous outlets offering wi-fi and internet cafes in Kota Marudu and Langkon Commercial Center.

What is the beach like?
The beach is a long stretch of sand with hardly a soul on it; it feels like your own private beach. From here, you can walk to neighbouring beaches, with a little scramble over the rocks.

Will my mobile phone work?

If you have “International Roaming” it certainly will. Most of our visitors simply buy a local pre paid card and slip the SIM card into their phone and pay local rates.

How close is the beach?
Just a 50 min driving pass through the kampong leads you directly to the beach.

What plugs and adaptors are available, and what is the voltage?
Malaysia’s voltage is 240 volts, 50 Hertz. In Malaysia, the outlets commonly accept 1 type of plug, the one having two parallel flat pins with ground pin. If your device’s plug has a different shape, then you would require a plug adapter.

What is there to do in the local area?
Activities in the local area includes: Farming, hiking, boat trips, fishing and enjoying the numerous beaches & Mangrove. You can read more on our Nearest Attraction & Things to Do page.

Is English widely spoken?

It is almost embarrassing, even in the remotest villages they speak English. It is taught in all the schools. However, Sabahans are most flattered and impressed if you take the time to learn just a few words of Bahasa.

Where can I do grocery shopping?
There are numerous shops in Kota Marudu, which is about 20 minutes drive from the resort’s. You will also find some small local shops en-route. We can offer a shopping service to ensure essential items are in the fridge for your arrival.

We provide all guests with drinking water, tea, coffee, milk and sugar.

Are there restaurants near by?
There are several restaurants at the nearby Langkon Commercial Center and in Kota Marudu. Alternatively we are able to offer an in house chef if required, at extra cost.

How close is the River Park?

the nearest river park is about 50 Kilometer from Panorama Paradise Resort.
